Filming
problems
This is a video of some of the footage that
we have gathered so far that we filmed to make our music video. From looking at
all footage it is clear to see that most of it is not up to a good standard.
There are many factors that make the footage the way it is, firstly one problem
would be the fact that most of the shots that have been taken are shaky and not
steady, this makes the shots look out of frame and poorly filmed. To rectify
this the best option would be to re-do the shots however this time we film the
scene on flat ground so that the camera is steady and not shaking.
Another problem is the framing. In some
shots we have not taken into account the fact that we cannot see the artist or
the artist head or shoulder is cut off from the camera. This makes it extremely
difficult to film a good scene when the artist facial expression cannot be
scene or they cannot be seen altogether. To stop this from happening the best
choice would be to zoom in/out function to get every part of the artist in the
shot. Also the spacing out, if we are too close or need change the camera angle
so that we are not cutting out any part of the artist
that is required for that shot.
Another big issues has to be the lighting
and overall darkness that covers most of our shots, this is mainly because we
filmed the shots when it was dark. From doing this we now see it would be best
if we filmed earlier in the day and use the natural light.
The shots taken don’t seem to absolutely,
when going over some of it there was blurriness and it was hard to make out
what was happening in that piece of footage. To rectify this we should make
sure that the focus on the camera so that the artist can be seen and also the
surroundings.
By doing this we hope to see a improvement
to the standard of filming that we do as a group so that we achieve the best
possible grade.
